Renault Koleos is a model car and a compact SUV introduced in 2000 at the Geneva Motor show. And after, it was opened and presented at Mondial de Automobile show in the 2006 in Paris. Actually, this model was planned and designed by Renault and later developed by Nissan Company.

Manufacturing of the car

Renault is manufactured by an auxiliary of Renault known as Renault Samsung motors in South Korea at its Busan manufacturing plant. Later it is marketed and put up for sale with the name of Renault Samsung QM5. And in 2011, a changed version of this Renault Koleos was brought into the market for sale.

New addition in the market

This Renault Koleos is completely a fresh addition to Renault SUV series after advertising and promoting the Kangoo and Soenic RX4 models. Although it has not at all created a right SUV series till now and Koleos was a main concept car which was presented in the media in Feburary 2000.

Design and popularity

This Koleos’s exteriors are designed on the basis of the Renault Egeus and Renault Koleos which are the concept cars. A few of the competitors of Koleo’s like Peugeot 4007 and Citroen C-crosser were also exhibited at the same of this Renault launch. And more interestingly, in a crash test performed in the year 2008, ADAC of Germany honored five stars to this Koleos car.

And finally, in the year 2010 in August, this Koleos was introverted from the UK due to its unfortunate and reduced sales below 2,600 units probably.
