The Large Family Car from Peugeot

The Peugeot 407 is a large family car made by the famous car maker Peugeot. It was manufactured between 2004 and 2010. The Peugeot 407 was made available in three variants namely saloon, estate and Coupe’. These three variants of Peugeot 407 were available in diesel and petrol option.

The displacement range of the petrol engine was a 1.8 Litre to 3.0 Litre and for diesel engine it was 1.6 and 3.0 litre.

The 407 was rated as runners-up for the European car of the year award for 2005.

Different names and launch pads

- The 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show saw the salon version of 407 and was named as 407 Elixir.

- Another version of 407 called as "407 Silhouette" was launched and it was a racing car.

- "407 Prologue” was the name given to a Peugeot 407 at the launch of coup? at Geneva Motor Show in 2005.

- The Geneva Motor Show in the year 2006 witnessed the launch of "407 Macarena" which was a four door Coupe’ designed and made by Heuliez and also became very popular.
