Nissan 370Z: Ignite Your Passion For Driving

Nissan 370Z, the Japanese version of Fairlady Z Z34 is developed by Nissan Motors. The first version of the sports car was released in the second half of 2008 and was displayed at an event in LA, even before it was shown to public at Greater Los Angeles show 2008. Though the official launch took place in 2008, it was in great demand even before its release. Succeeding the 350Z version of the Nissan Z car is the 6th generation, 370Z.

The Nissan Z34 Fairylady is unique because it has the world’s very first synchronized down shift rev-matching system called the SynchroRev Match as the main appealing feature. The SYnchroRev Match is featured only in the sports version. The differential that is offered by Nissan Motors in the sports version is said to be a slip differential that is viscous limited. A carbon composite material is used for making the new driveshaft.

In comparison to the 350Z, the latest version, 370Z has a wheelbase that is 100.4 inches (4 inches shorter) and the length is 167.1 inches (2.7 inches shorter). The width is 1.3 inches wider than the older version. And the track at the rear is thicker by 2.2 inches though the overall height has been decreased by 0.3 inches.

Since the dimension of the exteriors were smaller and the rough materials used were lightweight, the total weight of the car is greatly reduced (it must be taken into account though that the 2003 to 2005 model of the 350Z is actually lighter than the 370Z). The federally mandatory safety features are forced into the design, which adds to the overall weight too.
