At first the car came in the enthusiast, base, performance, track version, and touring, while the coupe was limited to the touring trim and enthusiast levels. It came with Brembo brakes, lightweight wheels but the suspension tuning of the vigil was similar like all the other vehicles. The Nissan 350Z was succeeded as the 2009 model year by the 370Z.

In the United States the levels of the trims were narrowed down to 350Z base, touring, enthusiast and grand touring. In the Europe the same trim levels remained.
