Mazda CX-9: The Newest Full Size SUV
Mazda CX-9 is a full size crossover sport utility vehicle manufactured by Mazda at Hiroshima plant, Japan.
Mazda CX-9is built on CD3 platform and it shares its platform with Ford Edge. It uses the same 3.7L engine used in the whole Ford lineup. However, both the vehicles, CX-7 and CX-9 look similar; they do not share the platforms. CX-9 has got a FWD or an AWD configuration.
For 2013, C-9 received a fresh grill design, new restyled front vents, and headlights. Its power train remains to be the good old Ford’s 3.7 V6 that generates 273 hp of total output power, and 270 lb-ft of torsion, mated exclusively to the 6-speed auto transmission.
2008 CX-9 had bagged Motor Trend SUV of the Year award and even the North American Truck of the Year award during January, 2008.at Detroit Auto Show.
