Koenigsegg Agera R: In The Pursuit Of Perfection

Koenigsegg Agera R was introduced at 2011 March Geneva Motor Show with special Michelin tires, ‘Speed Racer' livery theme, and a Thule Roof Box. The special edition Agera runs on biofuel rather than petrol.

The vehicle is capable of accelerating from zero to 100 km per hour in just 2.9 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 273 miles/hour. It is one of the world’s most expensive cars with a staggering price tag of US$ 1.6 million.

The Agera wing differs from other super cars in the segment, which is not controlled electronically. However, it uses the pressure wing in order to create high speeds to force the wings to control downward and reduce the overall wind resistance. This particular system is not only lighter compared to conventional hydraulics, but it is also smarter for compensating the tailwinds and head winds instantly.

During the speed tests held on 2nd September, Agera R broke the speed record for a production car by achieving zero to 300 km per hour in just 14.53 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 14.6 seconds set by Bugatti Veyron. The record is now held by Hennessey Venom GT, which achieved 0-186 miles per hour in just 13.63 seconds.

Agera R is capable of producing lateral concerning forces, thanks to the Michelin Super Sports grip and the special set up focused with respect to speed.

2013 Agera R premiered at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and for this year, the company has upgraded the vehicle with enhanced aerodynamics, carbon fiber wheels, and upgraded engine that can produce 1140 hp when running on Biofuel; it can produce output power of 960 hp while running on low octane gas.
