Honda Shadow: Honda Always Amazes You
Honda Shadow is a series of cruiser motorcycle manufactured by Honda in the year 1983. It comes with a liquid cooled V-Twin engine that ranges from 125 to 1800 cc engine displacement.
In the year 1983, the company released a series of motorcycles in order to address the requirements of the American cruiser market with VT 750C and VT500c.
On the other hand, due to traffic restrictions in US on 750CC Japanese bikes, VT750 was reduced to 699 CC in the year 1984 and later sold as VT700C. In the year 1985, the whole tariff got lifted because of line expanded to 1100 CC bike. VT750C was replaced by VT800C in the year 1988.
VT600C was launched in 1989 and it is the entry level basic version of the Shadow. The basic Shadow was slotted above the Rebel. The whole lineup was changed very little until the introduction of 750cc Shadow Ace was introduced in the year 1997. From the year 2000 to 2007, Shadow Sabre replaced VT1100 and was discontinued after introduction of the VTX1300.
In the year 2010, the company added two latest models- Phantom and RS to the 750CC lineup. Both the vehicles were fuel injected and Shadow RS has got higher 29 inch seat. Phantom is considered as the conventional cruiser in terms of ergonomics.
