Fiat Grande Punto: Driving a Supermini Car

Fiat Grand Punto is manufactured by the Italian automaker. The Type 199 –Grand Punto is the 3rd generation of Punto. The car was unveiled on 5th May 2005 and joined Evo in 2009. Both the cars were replaced by new 2012 Punto. Initially, the car was manufactured in Italy, later in Brazil, and now in India.

The new 2012 Punto was available with 2 new engines. The 0.9L twin air turbo engine can generate 63Kw of power and the new 1.3L diesel engine with start and stop air technology can deliver 63 Kw and CO2 emissions were reduced to 90g per kilometer.

The company updated the new 2012 Punto with front and rear bumper clips and new alloy wheels. Vehicle interior is updated with the revised Blue & Me system and new fabrics.

It has been a very popular hatch in Asian markets, especially Indian markets, where it has helped Fiat is complete revival of the brand.
