BMW M5: Diesel Engine Marvel

Executive Car by BMW Series- BMW M5:

The vehicle designed to provide high performance; BMW M5 is basically an executive car which has been built by BMW motorsport division. The model was first produced in the year 1985 when it was built by using chassis 535i as well as M1 engine that was known to be fastest production worldwide at that time. Subsequent changing have always been in progress and thus launching of new version of M5 in every generation. Some of the models of the series include E61/60, E34, E39 and F10 in the list being very recent. The feature of the new car includes Sports Wheel of 19 inch and brake calipers of blue painted.

Solution to Curb Vehicle Weight:

To lower the weight of the vehicle a solution was offered and for it BMW joined hands with SGL Group. In spite of the process, F10 significantly weighed heavier than E60 model because of which much criticism were taken by the model for its lack in both steering and engine note which has been compared to its predecessor.

Official Press for F10 M5:

During the year 2011 on 15th June BMW launched a press officially declaring the F10 M5. The acceleration of the model ranges from 0.60 mph which just takes about 4.4 seconds. Top speed which the car gives goes from 250-305 km/h. The weight of the car is said to be approximately 1945 kg and is 90 kg more than E60/61 model. The fuel consumption has been averagely reported to be 9.9 litres. Various other features include light wheel of alloy that is 20 inch and is filled with Sports Tire.

Debut of F10:

F10’s debut was successfully done at the Motor Show of Frankfurt and in North America in LA Auto show, November 18. M5 BMW was displayed in 2012 during M Festival which was held in Germany on June 23. The car has been recorded to have 7.55 lap times during the race tracks in Nurburging.
