BMW 1 Series: The Ideal Engines Behind
BMW 1 Series is one of the best small family cars in the market, which has been dominating the segment since 2004. So far, it has been produced in 4 different body styles, and it is the successor to BMW compact edition.
The first generation 1 series was produced in the year 2004 and it replaced the compact version in the range. For this year, the new performance version joins the BMW 1 series lineup. The new 1 series offers seamless driving experience, and packs in enough power punch to sprint through the city streets, and cruise along the highways quite comfortably.
2013 1 series convertible and coupe provide dynamic handling, spirited performance, and good efficiency. The engine configuration is perfectly balanced – the 128i is powered by 3.0L 230hp engine with 6-speed manual transmission while 135i runs on 3.0L 320hp turbo engine with 7-speed twin-clutch automatic transmission.
New 1 series has been introduced for the first time in Indian markets in 2013, and it seems to be garnering a lot of attention already, though its rivals Merc A Class, and Volvo V40 seem to doing fairly well too.
