Ariel Atom: High Performance Sports Car
The Atom, a sports car that is built to provide a high performance by the Ariel Motor Company, is based in England and the New York. It is produced in Crewkerne, Somerset in England and is manufactured under a license by TMI Autotech in North America at Virginia International Raceway located in Alton, Virginia.
Several versions of the Atom are produced by the Ariel including the Ariel Atom, the Ariel Atom 2, the Ariel Atom 3, 10 units of the Limited Edition Ariel Atom 3 Mugen, the Ariel atom 3.5 and 25 units of the limited edition Ariel Atom 500 with V8 engine.
Out of all the available models, only Atom 3.5 and the Atom 500 are available as of now. The limited edition Ariel Atom 500 contains a V8 engine with a power rating of 500bhp, which is made with the use of two Hayabusa engines from Suzuki.

The exoskeletal shape of the Ariel Atom is an unusual thing found in this vehicle, where the chassis of the car is highly visible from the outside, which improves its drag coefficient. It doesn’t contain windows, roof and other normal features that are common in a road car, while there is an option of a small windscreen with this vehicle. In 2009, Jocelyn Quivrin, a French Actor lost his life in an accident in this car in Paris.
