Peugeot 308 increases production in Europe

Peugeot has announced that production of the second generation of the 308 will increase as a result of strong demand. The new 308 has been doing successfully in Europe, considering that the model has received 60,000 orders since its introduction in October 2013. To keep up with demand, Peugeot will increase production of the model, adding a night shift at the factory in Sochaux from June 2. For this, the PSA will have to hire 600 people (450 on temporary contracts) to mount the Car of the Year 2014 in Europe .

At the same time, the factory in Sochaux Peugeot will also ride the newly released 308 SW side of the models 508, 3008 and Citro?n DS5 to. Currently, the plant employs about 10,800 workers with permanent contracts, while 600 of them have are temporary. By adding more staff, Peugeot will increase daily production of the models 308 and 308 SW 180 units to 1,563 cars.
