MINI Clubman Concept reveals

MINI Clubman Concept reveals

The MINI decided to end the mystery and revealed the Clubman Concept, which will be presented to the public next week, during the Geneva Motor Show.

Despite being billed as a concept, the Clubman is very close to going into production and become the largest model the MINI ever made, with 4,223 mm long, 1,844 mm wide and 1,450 mm tall.

Unlike its predecessor, the new Clubman features four doors with frameless hinges and front, while the rear doors were kept divided. The model is equipped with a new optical set, which features daytime running lights (DRL), forming a continuous ring.

The MINI Clubman Concept was shown with large alloy wheels of 19 inches and larger taillights, positioned horizontally to emphasize the width (170 mm longer).

Adrian van Hooydonk To, head of BMW Group design, the concept "shows how the Mini Clubman could go a step further: more interior space, a greater sense of quality and yet intelligent, bold and distinctive."

The new MINI Clubman will probably arrive in showrooms before the end of the year, then the chances of the production model to be shown in October at the Paris Salon, are great.
