London will toughen anti-pollution laws

The City of London should increase restrictions for cars that run through the urban center. The site Autocar published a story that reveals London's proposal to establish an ultra-low-emission zone in its central pathways.

According to this proposal, cars with diesel powered engine unsuitable for EU6 regulations (prior to 2014 vehicles) and cars with gasoline-powered engine unsuitable for EU4 regulations (prior to 2005) may not travel in central London.

This measure would take effect only in 2020, but could also be extended to other areas, ie locally.

The Transport for London (TfL) said the report by Autocar that the hammer has not been beaten, and that four proposals will be evaluated in the popular consultation.
