Honda reveals details of the new Civic Si
The American Honda has released new information about the line in the 2014 Civic Si sedan and coupe versions.
The coupe will have a unique design, with new bumpers, rear spoiler and alloy wheels of 18 inches. The interior of both brings a few changes over the tamer versions, although items such as unlocking the doors without a key, push button engine start, lane change without signaling alert and a sound system with seven-inch touchscreen display.
Both versions use a 2.4 engine with i-VTEC inline four-cylinder, which received a new exhaust system. This change made the jump power to 205 hp, with maximum torque of 23.9 lb-ft - an increase of 4 hp and 0.5 lb-ft compared to the old Si, respectively. The enhancement package also includes a retuned suspension with stiffer springs, new dampers and a new rear stabilizer bar.
The Civic Si Coupe 2014 will be released this Thursday, March 13th at starting price of U.S. $ 22,790. The sedan comes a little later, on March 26 for U.S. $ 22,990. Chances are the coupe be imported into the Brazilian market even in 2014.
