Cadillac ATS will take longer version in China

Cadillac plans to produce a variant of ATS with the longer chassis exclusively for the Chinese market, according to recent news reports indicated.

Chinese buyers have a greater attraction for versions LWB (long-wheelbase), so it's not a surprise that Cadillac has decided to lengthen the wheelbase of the ATS in the Chinese market. While the standard model is already being imported, the ATS-L will be produced locally by the joint venture Shanghai-GM.

The production model is expected to begin in the second half of 2014 and, according to the data, Car News China, Cadillac will stretch the wheelbase by 100 millimeters, which means that the model will be extended to 2875 mm . Under the hood there will be options 2.5 with 200 hp and a 320 hp 3.6 V6. Also according to the publication, the starting price of the model would be 275 billion yuan (about $ 45,500).
