Audi intends to make 17 releases in 2014

Audi plans to conduct 17 launches in 2014, including new models and reestiliza??es, and advance the production of an electric version of the R8 sports car, aiming to gain traction against rival BMW.

"We will increase deliveries in all regions of the world, including Europe," said CEO Rupert Stadler. He expects revenue to increase slightly in 2014 and provides that the records in China, the biggest market for Audi, will be more than 500,000 vehicles for the first time.

The largest contributor of profits from Volkswagen AG will invest 22 billion euros over the next five years, with 70% going towards new products and technology. Much of the rest will be spent on expanding the global manufacturing capabilities, including new factories in Brazil and Mexico.

Audi introduced a new version of the compact A3 last year that helped boost sales by 8% to 1.58 million cars and is launching the sedan variant of the model in the United States and China this year. In addition, the brand presented a revamped version of the TT sports at the Geneva Motor Show last week, and will add sporty S1 Subcompact your line in the second quarter of this year.

The manufacturer is considered fundamental in Volkswagen's strategy to make the first sales of the Toyota auto industry by 2018.
