Anfavea president says automakers profit is not high
Contrary to what is widely reported, the automakers do not get big profits in Brazil. At least that's what he said Luiz Moan, president of the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers (Anfavea) on Tuesday (25), during a public hearing in the Senate.
The officer said that between 2003 and 2011, the average annual profit of manufacturers in the country was 2.7%, while the world average in the same period was 3%. Moan also said the automotive sector as a whole accounts for 21% of industrial GDP in Brazil and 5% of the total GDP.
Have Fl?vio Meneguetti, president of the National Federation of Distribution of Motor Vehicles (Fenabrave), cited another surprising. Taking the example of a car sold on the market for ? 43,000, ? 25,000 of this amount goes to the automakers, U.S. $ 12 billion in taxes and are discounted, taking into account other costs, the gain of semi translates into mere R $ 200 or R $ 300.
