Alfa Romeo 4C and Fiat 500L run in the country
Alfa Romeo is out of the Brazilian market since 2006. So it's strange to see a camouflaged 4C running a test here. The sport was spotted by reader Pedro Barbosa and another employee who declined to be identified.
According to Barbosa, the 4C was running the Presidente Dutra Highway, around Taubat? (SP), escorted by other Fiat cars. The brand, moreover, ensures that the presence of the model in the country has nothing to do with a possible launch in Brazil. The claim is that the Italian Fiat performs a series of tests in areas with adverse weather conditions and the tread. Ie, as the prototypes are evaluated through the European snow, they would have been to run under the scorching tropical sun and the terrible Brazilian roads.
However, there is good reason to suspect the version given by Fiat. For years, the brand does not hide his desire to bring Alfa Romeo back to the domestic market. Some units of the Giulietta hatch, inclusive, have been sighted running in Betim (MG). With the completion of the purchase of the Chrysler Group, Fiat will take part of the American company operations here, and would also studying the return of Alfa Romeo. In this plan, the 4C could be a good "car picture" of Alfa in Brazil, reflecting the sportiness always associated with the brand.
Besides 4C, another camouflaged vehicle was on the train. The 500L also figure in the list of upcoming releases from Fiat for a long time. The brand uses the same justification given for the presence of Alfa Romeo, but the fact is that the minivan based on the Fiat 500 would be an interesting option to Succeed Idea veteran, launched here in 2003.
